Shabbat in the Sand
Russian-speaking families are invited to join popular teacher and artist, Zhenya Lopatnik for a musical Shabbat with a special sand activity! After an interactive singalong with requests from kids encouraged, Zhenya will take families on a magical journey to a unique storytelling event--a performance of Sand Art. An award-winning Sand Art artist, Zhenya will amaze children and parents alike with her unique talent to tell a story using sand and an illuminated light board to create beautiful, momentary images that then disappear as she creates new ones.  Don't miss Generation R's unique "Shabbat in the Sand." The event will end with candle lighting and blessings. Light your own candles and join Generation R as we light ones for the community.  Parents, please email a picture of your childrens' favorite beach scene to and we will have a surprise for your kids for the event!
