Havurah PreK-2nd Grade
Havurah is an excellent way to nurture the early years of your child’s Jewish education in a fun, interactive, and meaningful environment. The study of Jewish holidays, Hebrew language, Torah stories, community service opportunities, and exploration of Jewish identity is a significant part of every child’s Havurah experience. Skilled teachers listen and collaborate with the children to identify all aspects of these diverse topics that are most interesting and appropriate for their particular group of students. The Havurah program meets weekly from 3-5 pm on Shabbat afternoons. Tuition: October-May $1850/$1950. If you have any questions, or would like to register, please visit jccmanhattan.org/havurah or contact Gabriella Kula at gkula@jccmanhattan.org or call 646-505-5722 (more)REGISTER

Arlekino @ Havurah 4-6 Years
Havurah, the JCC's hands-on Jewish education program that encourages children to create their own Jewish identity while having fun, is excited to continue working with Arlekino Theater Troupe, which strives to form Jewish identity among Russian-speaking Jewish children through cultural arts. The program includes dramatic play, music, storytelling, and art workshops, inspiring young children through interactive interpretations of Jewish folktales, courtesy of the PJ Library. Taught in Russian by experienced early childhood educators and performing and fine-arts specialists. For more information, contact Jane Tuv at jtuv@jccmanhattan.org. Generation R programs are generously supported by Genesis Philanthropy Group. (more)REGISTER

Havurah B'Ivrit
Havurah b’Ivrit is a program that provides a weekly Hebrew language based Jewish learning opportunity for students in kindergarten and first grade. Following the model of The JCC’s general Havurah program, teachers work in collaboration with children and their families to build curricula that link children's already existing passions and interests with Jewish customs, traditions, values, and stories, through hands-on experiences. Through Havurah b’Ivrit and all of our Havurah programs, we offer children and their families space and resources to develop their Jewish identities and build Jewish community in meaningful and fun ways. The Havurah b’Ivrit program is tailored to students who attend Harlem Hebrew Language Academy Charter School, though there are spots available for students at a comparable stage in their Hebrew language development. For more information and to register, email Gabriella Kula at gkula@jccmanhattan.org The Havurah B’Ivrit Program is supported in part by a grant from the Hebrew Charter School Center (more)LEARN MORE
