Amanda Sacks, PhD–Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology in Neurosurgery, Weill Cornell Medical College In our world of constant distractions, feeling forgetful and unfocused in our personal and work lives is inevitable, especially as we age–or is it? Hear from a neuropsychology expert about the role of attention in brain functioning. Dr. Sacks will discuss brain networks and how the domains of cognitive functioning work so that we can understand why most of us overestimate how much information we actually perceive and retain. Lay the groundwork for increased cognitive self–awareness by learning attention-training exercises to help engage your brain and achieve an internal state of focus.
