Build Your Bridge Skills
Bridge is a social game. It’s okay to think for a minute or two about a particularly tricky bid or play, but it’s not polite to burn the clock. Bridge experts avoid time crunches (as well as embarrassing mistakes!) by learning basic card play tactics to the point where they become automatic. The good news is – you can learn these skills too!
To help you along, twice a week we’ll be presenting two problems in card play. Some exercises will be very short; others a bit longer. For example, on one day, you might be asked to choose an opening lead. On another day, you might be challenged to plan the play of an entire hand.
Along with these problems, we’ll also provide the answers. Of course, you’re urged to try to solve the problems rather than simply reading the answers. You’ll note that by providing the answers, I’ve saved you the trouble of e- mailing your solutions to me! However, if you have any questions or comments about the problems, don’t hesitate to contact me.
