Annual Programs

Yom Hashoah

Each year, the Upper West Side community gathers to read the names of those among the six million murdered Jews. The reading begins on the eve of the holiday and continues throughout the night with representatives of Upper West Side congregations and other members of the community. It resumes in the morning at the JCC, ending with the recitation of the kaddish. Come read or witness by your presence.

The UWS Celebrates Israel/Yom Ha'atzmaut

The Upper West Side comes together to celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day. Synagogues, schools, and Jewish organizations are sponsoring events throughout the Upper West Side that celebrate the rich and complex culture, history, and people of Israel.

Convened by the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan in collaboration with UJA-Federation of New York.

The Paul Feig z”l Tikkun Leil Shavuot

Come together with New Yorkers from across the spectrum of Jewish life for a revelatory night of study, film, music, dance, yoga, cheesecake and more throughout the building in celebration of Shavuot.  Come for an hour or stay the night.
