Claire Rosenzweig, President & CEO Better Business Bureau

Are you an educated, cyber-savvy consumer? Do you think about cyber safety and security in your daily life and business choices – or is it something that only seems to impact other careless people. Unfortunately, consumer fraud and ID theft are all around us - particularly in the age of COVID, with escalated online usage and self-isolation. ID theft remains one of the most common crimes to strike consumers – even conscientious consumers. It's taking on new forms that may be more difficult to detect and correct. Before falling prey to cyber-scams, educate yourself, look for the red flags and know what to avoid. If you are victimized, know the key steps to take to minimize the damage. This important program is offered free as a service of your local Better Business Bureau.
