21+ classes are designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or social differences who benefit from a high level of support, who are beginning their journey into adulthood. Here, individuals can connect with peers while participating in activities that engage their minds and bodies.

Thursday’s class provides a place for participants to nourish themselves creatively and nutritionally! The afternoon begins with a percussion and movement class led by SWAN, where members will use their bodies and instruments in ways never imagined, to make sounds and music via a collaborative and creative process. The group will then engage in facilitated discussion aimed to increase socialization and create connections among group member.  This will be followed by a culinary class led by Red Rabbit, where participants will work on culinary skills and learn about the food they're working with, all while making a healthful and delicious snack or meal.

Designed for people with special needs, open to those of all abilities. If you are interested in learning more about our 21+ programming, please contact Lori Rosenfeld at lrosenfeld@jccmanhattan.
