In this workshop we explore ways that the Alexander Technique can reduce  discomfort in the lower back and help us find more ease. We learn to use the Technique to release common areas of tension - especially in the lower back and hip joints. As a result, we can sit more comfortably and move by using our free joints while keeping our backs open and wide. Releasing the back also helps us find better alignment throughout the entire body and improves overall posture. In class, students will engage in various activities, including lying on the floor, sitting, walking and bending as we learn to apply the principles of the Technique to common daily activities.
