February Is Jewish Disability Awareness
and Inclusion Month (JDAIM)
The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan is a place for all to grow, connect, and learn. We embrace the "all" in our mission statement and strive to uphold our core values of inclusion and accessibility every day. We give special attention to the diversity in our community in February as we proudly join other Jewish organizations and communities in this year's Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM). JDAIM is a worldwide effort to raise awareness and champion the integrity of people with disabilities. Together we can enrich the Jewish community by embracing the value, dignity, and ability of all individuals.
Advancing disability inclusion requires active involvement from everyone. With this in mind, we hope you'll join us for the all-abilities programs and classes listed below. Come bake challah, flex your mind and body, or enjoy a Shabbat dinner with offerings that are open to everyone and aim to support the needs and experience of all individuals. This February, we encourage you to participate in the joy of community with your neighbors in diversity.
