ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York Goes Virtual!
March 31-April 6, 2020
We are proud to announce that ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York has decided to go on with the show by shifting our program to a virtual format.
These stories need to be told, and creating community is as important as ever. Therefore, we will be bringing you the majority of our selected films and conversations via interactive online streaming platforms. This will allow us to further advance our mission of accessibility, making our films and conversations available to our community at times when gathering together in person is not possible.
If you would like to continue to support ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York as we work through this transition, please visit our donation page here.
The ReelAbilities website is now updated with the full listing of films and events being presented virtually. For more details on how the virtual festival will work, see this page. For further updates, sign up for our emails here.
Thank you for your understanding during this unique time, and for helping us keep the ReelAbilities community safe. We are excited to take these new steps together with you.
The ReelAbilities Team
ReelAbilities is the premier international film festival dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with disabilities. ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York is the largest disability-themed film festival in the world. It is based at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, and screenings are held in various locations throughout the New York metropolitan area. The award-winning films presented during this festival include feature-length and short films created by and/or featuring talented individuals with disabilities. Post-film conversations and other engaging panels and special programs bring the community together to explore, discuss, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.
