Social Responsibility + Volunteering

Social Justice + Volunteering

At the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, we are committed to the value of taking responsibility for one another. Our community is bound by a shared commitment to a better, fairer world, which we put into practice every day, giving back and supporting each other through meaningful actions.

The Joseph Stern Center for Social Responsibility offers community members opportunities to live this value through learning, volunteering, and activism.

Volunteering

Throughout the year, there are countless ways to give back to the greater community. Help a child learn to read or improve their math skills. Cook and serve a hot meal for those who are hungry. Mentor an individual with special needs. Whether it's through our literacy and math tutoring programs, teen community service and leadership programs, 20s + 30s volunteering, or Engage Jewish Service Corps for volunteers in their 50s, 60s, and beyond, we have many opportunities for you to support undeserved communities.
